Created attachment 162369 [details] screenshot of image after fit to view - left side of image missing from view Fit to View option not working correctly. Fit to View should resize the entire canvas-image so it fits inside the project window both horz and vert. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This option worked perfectly in previous versions.
Hi, I can't reproduce this here with any canvas size, I even tried to recreate the situation with a 1800x1200 file with reference images, can you pin down which files give trouble? Also, could you check if somehow there's a shortcut conflict somewhere? Maybe the shortcut for fit-to-view is conflicting with another one?
The problem seems to occur when I’m zoomed in close to a section of the image. I have shortcuts programmed in for all three zoom settings: 1) Zoom to fit 2) Zoom vertical 3) Zoom horizontal The Zoom vertical and Zoom horizontal seem to work as expected although I haven’t tested those as much because I rarely use them. Like I said, the Zoom to fit worked fine in previous versions. I’ll check with some other projects to make sure it’s universal. By the way: I had trouble logging into the account for the bug reporting service yesterday. It wasn’t accepting my password. I tried resetting the password a few times but no luck. Can someone check to see if something is wrong on your end? I’ll try to login again shortly. Thanks! Update: I checked this problem with a few other projects. They are all doing the same thing. I also confirmed that the Fit to Height and Fit to Width are also not displaying properly. There is always some portion of the image off the screen. I'm going to try this on my laptop to see if I can reproduce the problem there. I'll have results shortly. > On 10/18/2023 5:23 AM CDT wolthera <bugzilla_noreply@kde.org> wrote: > > > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475741 > > wolthera <griffinvalley@gmail.com> changed: > > What |Removed |Added > ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- > CC| |griffinvalley@gmail.com > Status|REPORTED |NEEDSINFO > Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO > > --- Comment #1 from wolthera <griffinvalley@gmail.com> --- > Hi, > > I can't reproduce this here with any canvas size, I even tried to recreate the > situation with a 1800x1200 file with reference images, can you pin down which > files give trouble? Update 2: Krita new install on my laptop. Fit to view, height, width all working as expected. Clearly problem is specific to my desktop pc. I tried resetting the keyboard shortcuts to factory default and still not working as expected. Any suggestions? > On 10/18/2023 1:39 PM CDT Larry Cross <krizcross@comcast.net> wrote: > > > Update: > > I checked this problem with a few other projects. They are all doing the same thing. Sorry for the bombardment but I solved the problem. It seemed perhaps that the problem originated from the fact that I had my Brush Docker positioned on the Left Hand side of the screen but it wasn't docked properly (basically floating). I think that was the main problem. Also, I reassigned new keyboard shortcuts to those actions and now all the "Fit to" options are working as expected. You can clear this bug report. Thank you for your help! Larry > On 10/18/2023 2:05 PM CDT Larry Cross <krizcross@comcast.net> wrote: > > > Update 2: Krita new install on my laptop. Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information.
