SUMMARY As far as I can tell, there are 3 separate issues: 1) Dragging an application icon over the application launcher activates the application launcher. This should not happen - the application launcher should only activate when the mousedown event happens when the mouse is over the application launcher icon. 2) Sometimes, an application is duplicated when dragging. 3) Sometimes, applications get stuck and cannot be dragged all the way to the right. Note that this is *not* just because some of the open applications are not pinned to the taskbar - sometimes the icon be dragged gets "stuck" on an application that is *not* open but *is* pinned to the taskbar. See the attached video. All 3 issues should be readily visible. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Just drag the icons around. 2. 3. Issue #1 is real and I can reproduce it. Issue #2 is Bug 416927, which is a known issue. Issue #3 is something I can't reproduce right now. Let's use this bug report for issue #1, and please submit a new one for Issue #3. In the future please report multiple issues in the form of multiple bug reports. Thanks!
This might be an issue with the Task Manager or it might be an issue with Kickoff/Kicker, and other similar menus. Starting at the Task Manager.
