SUMMARY
"Show FPS" effect does not show FPS

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. system settings > desktop effects
2. check show fps
3. apply

OBSERVED RESULT
fps is not shown

EXPECTED RESULT
fps is shown

It works fine for me. Are you on wayland?

After restarting my machine, it seems to work as expected now. I can't reproduce the issue any more

Enabling the effect only allows it to be manually toggled on and off with a keyboard shortcut as needed. Check the config window for the effect to see what that keyboard shortcut is.
