According to reuse lint, BSD-2-Clause goes unused in this project. It may be a good idea to remove it.

I honestly would much rather not. I'm not confident enough in what I am doing to mess with Licenses which is a very.... complicated thing lol

You'd just be removing an unused file. Plus you'll get your change reviewed anyway :)
