Sorry, under Wayland, I should have mentioned.
Does not happen with X11.
Comment 2 Matthias 2023-10-18 07:21:52 UTC
I think I should reassign this to Kate, as it seems an issue with it specifically.
Comment 3 Waqar Ahmed 2023-10-19 08:14:04 UTC
Unlikely Kate can do much about this.
Comment 4 Matthias 2023-10-21 08:54:02 UTC
So we just leave this buggy? Or is this something the plasma panel can do about it? Do you know the origin of this problem?
Comment 5 Nate Graham 2023-10-23 18:21:26 UTC
I'm afraid the "Windows Can Cover" Panel visibility mode has been removed for Plasma 6 and we aren't planning to bring it back. In its place, we plan to implement an "intelligent auto-hide" or "dodge windows" mode, per Bug 349785. This should hopefully be much better than "Windows Can Cover" ever was, and offer support for its use cases.

Thanks for your understanding!
