rpm-ostree has an option to display important security updates. Using that to warn users to update immediately would be really helpful I think. Discover handles the updates on Fedora Kinoite, which would be affected by that.
Discover does notify the user about security updates. Can you be more specific about exactly what about it doesn't reach the level of what you're expecting, and what you'd like it to do differently?
In Fedora Kinoite I just wanted to check if users are warned to reboot their systems, if yes, then awesome!
yes probably!
I don't understand the answers to my questions, sorry. What would you like Discover to do differently, that it isn't doing right now?
The answer is I have no idea how Discover handles this as I never had this situation (use CLI only, Fedora Kinoite people dont support anything but Discover) XD But with all the curl stuff I thought that was pretty important just on Fedora Kinoite it is special that you need to reboot to apply the update. I suppose Discover detects and notifies about that. If not, just wanted to check if it does this for the rpm-ostree backend already AND notifies that the user should reboot as soon as possible
Thanks. In general, please only open Bugzilla tickets to report bugs in software you use, or request new features that don't already exist. :) This isn't a general-purpose communication channel.
