Description erik.ostlund 2023-10-11 19:13:29 UTC
SUMMARY
***
Several tools, including the Straight line tool, will automatically pan if you are zoomed in and draw beyond what’s currently in view. At least they do when I’m drawing with a mouse. But this doesn’t happen when I’m using my tablet which makes it very difficult to draw long lines that require a high level of zoom at both ends.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Zoom in until the whole canvas no longer fits within the current view.
2. Select the Straight line tool.
3. Using the mouse draw a line that extends beyond the current view. Note that Krita pans the view as you reach the edge.
4. Try the same maneuver using a tablet stylus. Note that Krita doesn't pan the view.

OBSERVED RESULT
No automatic panning occurs making it impossible to reach beyond the current view.

EXPECTED RESULT
Automatic panning should occur,.
