Otherwise I have to change the file source by hand after every kdenlive file edit. 
it is usefull as I layer several kdenlive files on top of each other inside a main kdenlive file.

Have you tried the nested timelines, aka sequences, feature? Or worked with library clips? It seems you are using kdenlive project files for what sequences and library files have been designed to do ... (just guessing, though)
