STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have floating panel on bottom of laptop screen 2. Connect external screen and place it above the laptop screen 3. Maximize a window on the laptop screen OBSERVED RESULT The panel is floating and overlaps the window EXPECTED RESULT The panel defloats and doesn't cover the window. Cannot reproduce with the same exact setup in Wayland :-/
I did change the logic a bit since this was reported, actually, this might've been fixed for good. Can you confirm that?
I can't reproduce it anymore, so let's call it fixed for now.
I'm having the same issue, but it only happens when I unlock the screen after being away from my computer for some time. I also have two monitors, and I'm on plasma 5.90.0 on arch installed from the kde-unstable repo. After some time, the shell crashes, reloads and everything is back to normal, but I don't know it's related. Let me know if I should open a new issue for this, I didn't because I found this one already
