STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. select 2 text (.txt) files, context menu, compare OR start kompare select 2 text files
2. click compare
3. fail

OBSERVED RESULT
no matter the way I select 2 text files, kompare fails with error:
1: "No models or no differences, this file file://path/to/file.txt is not a valid diff file."
or
2: "Unknown options: U, H, d, r. - see kdiff3 --help for supported options"
or
3: "could not parse diff output"

EXPECTED RESULT
compare the files.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 
macOS:

*** KDiff3 works perfectly, when launch by itself without kompare
