ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Matthias 2023-09-29 14:35:31 UTC
It seems like this happens without global menu being used as well.

I move it for now, maybe someone can reproduce.
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2023-09-29 18:28:47 UTC
If you can reproduce it without a Global Menu, can you see if you can find specific steps to reproduce so we can take a look?

Also, after you do, it would be helpful if you can try in the Plasma Wayland session too, to see if the same issue appears there, or if it's only a problem seen on X11.

Thanks!

I think this is still a global menu issue.

I have an empty space at the place, where it is showing up, when an application is open, that supports global menu.
When I press on that empty space, it persists as well.

See the screenshot.

Click on the circled area, when the global menu extension is placed there.

Click on the circle, with global menu placed there and Firefox open, eg.

So this seems like an issue, that always comes up, once global menu is triggered. Even if its not opening any menu, or even containing one.

I could not reproduce this on a new installation, same distro. So probably a configuration issue.
Comment 6 Nate Graham 2023-10-11 15:22:48 UTC
Ok, thanks. Let us know if you ever find out what it is?
Comment 7 Matthias 2023-10-11 19:51:48 UTC
Sure. But I doubt it. I have the installation still around, and I don't use it.
