happens with named guides every time.

Thanks for your report. This issue was already fixed in git:
https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/-/commit/67768c4b58ff514af47d69b8150015b333e45c1d
And the fix will be in Kdenlive 23.08.2
