Description Jean-Michaël Celerier 2023-09-26 16:29:58 UTC
SUMMARY

Seems to be exactly the same issue that https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353975 but it says to open a new issue so here it is.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect second monitor

OBSERVED RESULT
A black overlay prevents any meaningful interaction.

- The mouse cursor is there
- I can move windows there
- I can see my cursor change when I hover the windows, e.g. it becomes a caret if I am hovering a text field so the compositor knows the window is there.

But I can't actually see anything

If I reboot it works normally.

EXPECTED RESULT
It works normally if I reboot or not.

Does the problem go away if you restart plasmashell using `systemctl restart --user plasma-plasmashell.service`? If so I suspect the root cause is the same as Bug 467422.
