ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Robert 2023-09-26 12:58:42 UTC
The problem still persists even when removing the panel
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2023-09-28 15:48:26 UTC
Are you on Wayland or X11?

What do you mean by "The problem still persists even when removing the panel"? What happens instead of the panel popping up when you trigger this issue with no panel?
Comment 3 Robert 2023-09-28 20:38:40 UTC
Removing it or setting the panel to auto hide prevents it from poping into the game. On Wayland still keyboard events after the first key press are not registered by the game anymore. I have to press alt+tab to focus back to the game, then I can do one more key press before the focus is lost again. On X11 the keyboard focus actually remains. It's just the panel has to be hidden too.

Thanks for the info.

Is Chromium running through Xwayland or is it Wayland native? You can check with the KWin debug console (type "kwin" in krunner to open it)
