SUMMARY I have noticed this only happening when a game (Dota 2) forces full screen. By "forcing full screen" i mean that i am alt-tabbed from the game and the game brings itself to full screen when something happens, in this case when my match starts in Dota 2. Once the game brings itself to full screen, the panel remains visible and whatever i do it remains there. Only reseting the setting in the game (fullscreen -> windows -> fullscreen) removes the panel. I have tried this with floating panel and non-floating panel and it happens every time. I do not know how to reproduce this outside of Dota 2 as i dont know any other game or app that forces fullscreen in this way. Alt-tabing and returning to Dota 2 does not fix this, nor does it normally produce this issue. Its only reproducable when Dota 2 brings itself to front. NOTE: this has been happening only recently, I did not have this problem couple of months ago. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have either panel of floating panel enabled 2. Enter Dota 2 and start looking for a match (needs setting that brings Dota to front when match found) 3. Alt-tab away from the game 4. When Dota 2 finds a match it will bring the game in full screen and panel will be visible OBSERVED RESULT Panel is visible while Dota 2 is in full screen mode after Dota 2 bringing itself to full screen EXPECTED RESULT Panel is hidden while Dota 2 is in full screen mode after Dota 2 bringing itself to full screen SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 38 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.109.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 6.4.15-200.fc38.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5800H with Radeon Graphics Memory: 15.0 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Running Plasma on Wayland with AMD iGPU and NVIDIA dGPU for running Dota 2.
Is this still an issue in Plasma 6?
