SUMMARY Touchscreen gestures allow you to assign an action to be triggered by swiping inward from screen edge. Overview/Present Windows require longer swipe distance to successfully activate / deactivate, significantly longer than that of other actions (like Peek at Desktop). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use a device with touchscreen 2. In System Settings -> Workspace Behavior -> Touchscreen Gestures, assign "Overview" or "Present Windows" to one of the screen edges 3. Swipe 4. Change the assigned action to "Peek at Desktop" 5. Swipe again to compare the difference OBSERVED RESULT Activating "Peek at Desktop" only requires a few distance, wheres with Overview/Present Windows you need to swipe all the way to 1/2 of the screen to actually activate the action. EXPECTED RESULT Activating Overview/Present Windows should be as easy as activating other actions. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.110.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Laptops have large screens, so much larger than smartphones, so 1/2 of the screen distance is too far to reach with the hand holding the screen and the thumb triggering the edge gesture.
It's Wayland session. And the device is Microsoft Surface.
