SUMMARY Probably ever since the kscreen refactor, an issue occurs when waking Plasma if the user has one monitor stacked on top of another in the display settings: the panel will begin to cover the windows even though the visibility settings are still set to "Always Visible". The problem is resolved once the user enters and exits Edit Mode on the panel. The issue does not occur in Wayland. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make sure the panel is set to Always Visible. 2. Stack main screen on top of the other in the display settings. 3. Put computer to sleep and wake it up. OBSERVED RESULT The panel now partially covers the windows. An easy way to confirm this is by using the Ctrl + F function in the browser, in which will almost be fully hidden in the case of this bug. EXPECTED RESULT No window coverage after waking from sleep. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian Sid KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.7 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.107.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AMD Polaris card with mesa drivers (23.1.7). My second monitor is a Cintiq 16.
In Plasma 6 there's no "Windows Go Below" option anymore. Does this still happen?
