I'm afraid this is caused by an incompatibility between the requirements of the PackageKit library that Discover uses and the package management plugin for it that Kubuntu provides for it. Unfortunately, there isn't anything we can do to fix it in Discover. It needs to be fixed by the developers of Kubuntu or PackageKit.

I would recommend installing Discord from Flatpak, Snap, or Distro repos in the Discover app itself, rather than downloading a package file from the internet. That's generally a bad idea, and in this case, it doesn't work at all due to the aforementioned incompatibility. So instead, just search for "Discord" in Discover and install what you find there.
