STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Update to latest KDE Neon Test
2. Restart PC
3. See no icon on desktop

OBSERVED RESULT
Can't see Desktop icons

EXPECTED RESULT
See Desktop icons

If you drag a file or folder from a Dolphin window to the desktop, does it appear there?

Obviously not, indeed to be exact, the navigation menu does not even appear during dragging

It is easily reproducible

When you right-click on the desktop, what do you see in the menu?

Ok, so you're in Desktop view, not Folder view.

Can you right-click on the desktop, click on "Configure Desktop and Wallpaper" and then in the window that appears, change "Desktop" layout to "Folder"? Then click OK or Apply.

I'm already on Folder View
Also the Folder View widget do not show anything more and it point to a custom folder into my home folder

I missed the fact that you're using KDE Neon Testing. In fact the issue is a real bug on our side and I mis-triaged this report; sorry about that. Happily, it's already been fixed with https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/commit/75da641788d32c3f9a9f6a3f767a094c07b31b51.
