Description Philipp Lehman 2002-09-04 11:01:36 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: ark
Version: v2.1.9 (using KDE 3.0.3 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: compiled sources
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.2.19
OS/Compiler notes:

The deb packages used by the Debian package management are simply ar archives containing a plain text file and two .tar.gz archives. It is possible to rename any given file.deb to file.a and open it in ark. When running ark on file.deb directly however it does not recognize the file format. Since ar archives are already supported it would be nice if ark recognized the .deb suffix.
