Description Daljit 2023-09-01 11:30:37 UTC
SUMMARY
On Fedora 38, the kcm_wacomtablet GUI seems to produce no effects on the settings of Wacom tablets.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install kcm_wacomtablet
2. Go to Settings > Input Devices > Graphic Tablet
3. Click on Stylus tab
4. Map any button to a custom keyboard shortcut key

OBSERVED RESULT
The applied settings have no effect.
Strangely, if the settings are manually applied via the terminal using for example:

> xsetwacom set "Wacom One by Wacom S Pen stylus" Button 2 "key p"

then they are correctly applied as expected.
I've tested this on two different devices, but the same tablet, (both with Fedora 38) with exactly the same result.
I think this may be a Fedora specific problem since I tried to live boot a fresh image of Kubuntu 23.04 and the settings are applied correctly as expected.
