Server returned no valid JSON

Nothing works in the app, and every click raise that error tooltip saying "Server returned no valid JSON"

The instance probably isn't up, please change it under the settings. It's known that the default instance is offline: https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/plasmatube/-/issues/35

If you still have trouble, please reopen.

Well, if the default url isn't working then it should be removed, or at least add a message that tells the user to add a working url after first launch.

I do plan on removing it and presenting a list of servers to choose from :) Because it's a major change though, it won't appear until the next major release...

And I do agree the error could be better

This happens because the default instance - https://inv.riverside.rocks - is dead since 02.07.2023. Go to settings and change it.

Whoa I really should call my internet provider... As it turns out just refreshing the page sends my comment again.

A possibly relevant merge request was started @ https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/plasmatube/-/merge_requests/59
Comment 9 Joshua Goins 2023-10-21 22:36:54 UTC
Servers now show up in a selectable list, and PlasmaTube doesn't come with one preconfigured. This feature will appear in the next major release.

version 23.08.3

Problem still there.

Is this still an issue in 24.02?

The latest 24.02.1 provides an excellent start page with clean interface, indicating the need to select a source, from a provided list, in order to access YouTube videos.
