SUMMARY

To ensure that whatever you wrote on USB medium was written correctly it could be very helpful to verify checksum against image you choose.

That can be helpful in case of device errors when you don't know if USB drive is silently dying.

Similar functionality exists in e.g. balena etcher.

EXPECTED RESULT

When you flash an image, you can choose to verify device after writing is done.
