SUMMARY
***
when updating to the git version to 23.11.70 to get the new notifcation features i noticed that the global menu is gone. i set up my desktop to show the menu in the title bar or in the top panel when the window is maximized. now i only get a hamburger menu and couldnt find a way to get the menu back. i dont know if this is just an issue connected to global menus or if the menu bar has gone missing completely/replaced by a hamburger menu. anyway it is very inconvenient and annoying. i hope this isnt intentional. i specifically installed a patched verison of firefox to get a global menu on most applications i frequently use. it would be a shame if other applications like konsole now intentionally break these kinds of setups.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

If you hit Ctrl+Shift+M in Konsole and quit and restart it, does that help?

i tried that yesterday already but now it is working again after a system reboot. sorry i didn't think of that. it didn't cross my mind that it could make a difference if all other applications had no problem. thanks for the help. i think this can be closed.
