SUMMARY In the Image Editor settings, under RAW Behavior, if I choose Raw import using RawTherapee, then opening a Raw image does not invoke RawTherapee, but instead just opens the Image Editor. I'm not sure how to tell if it was converted as an 8bit image or a 16bit image, but I suspect it is opened as if one of the first two settings were selected instead. I'm running macOS (13.4.1 Ventura, latest as of creation). I have RawTherapee installed at its default location (/Applications/RawTherapee.app) and its latest version (5.9 stable). I've reproduced this issue both when RawTherapee is not already running and when it is running. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. In Image Editor setttings, within the RAW Behavior tab, choose Raw Import using RawTherapee (choose third radio button, select in the dropdown). 2. Find a RAW file (in my case, i used a Canon .CR2 file), right click it, and choose "Open..." 3. Notice that the converted Raw image is opened directly in the Image Editor, without opening RawTherapee. OBSERVED RESULT The converted Raw image is opened directly in the Image Editor, without opening RawTherapee. EXPECTED RESULT RawTherapee is opened, such that when the image is saved, it is sent to the Image Editor and can be stored as a version. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS macOS: 13.4.1 Ventura RawTherapee: 5.9 stable ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please try the preview version of digiKam-8.2.0. In this version of the RAW Editor selection, if the entry RawTherapee is grayed out and cannot be selected, then the app will not be found. Then we have to investigate further. https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Maik
@Ankur, What's about this file using current 8.2.0 MacOS PKG bundle ? It's reproducible ? https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Note: bundle is now based on Qt 5.15.11 and KDE framework 5.110. Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier
@Ankur Please try the new 8.5.0 pre-release PKG installer for MacOS Silicon (arm64) available here: https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier
