There is a relatively frequent problem with the connection between the phone in hotspot mode and the Tp-Link TN722N V3.20 wi-fi card. An exclamation mark appears on the network icon and I have to disconnect and reconnect, and then the internet works. It works without a problem on Windows 10, so it's probably not a problem with the Wi-Fi card. KDE Plasma Ver: 5.27.7 Qt: 5.15.10 Kernel: 6.2.0-26
We need to know a little bit more information about the issue. Do you know the distribution you're running? (It should be listed in KInfoCenter). More than likely, this is a widespread issue for your card on Linux and has nothing to do with KDE. We only handle the user interface bit of the networking stack.
Created attachment 161074 [details] attachment-2279470-0.html I'm using KDE Neon. The problem occurs after upgrading the kernel from 5.19 to 6.2. This occurs on the already old Redmi 4X. I have just connected a newer Redmi Note 11S phone and it works properly, it does not drop the connection. I'll have to live with this problem somehow. Thank you for your help :) Dnia 20 sierpnia 2023 18:08 Joshua Goins <bugzilla_noreply@kde.org> napisał(a): bugs.kde.org https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473540 Joshua Goins <josh@redstrate.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|REPORTED |NEEDSINFO CC| |josh@redstrate.com Resolution|--- |WAITINGFORINFO --- Comment #1 from Joshua Goins <josh@redstrate.com> --- We need to know a little bit more information about the issue. Still have this bug.
The problem will be in NetworkManager itself somewhere; the Plasma UI just provides a friendly interface to access its features. I'd recommend re-reporting this at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/. Thanks!
