SUMMARY

The issue happens when the user tries to install a user-contributed package in the application/gzip format.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to download a new login screen or global theme
2. If the extension is .tar.gz the decompression fails with the message:
```
Installation of /tmp/kyjVyQ-BeautifulTreeAnimation.tar.gz failed: Could not open package file, unsupported archive format: /tmp/kyjVyQ-BeautifulTreeAnimation.tar.gz application/gzip
```
