Description w202mg 2023-08-08 11:46:01 UTC
SUMMARY
Due to experience with Windows and other Linux distros it is very useful to drag & save images from websites. However this function is not present on Wayland.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open any web browser on Wayland
2. Drag any image and drop it on a desktop

OBSERVED RESULT
No function

EXPECTED RESULT
Image saved on desktop

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian GNU/Linux 12
KDE Plasma Version: 5.107.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.107.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I noticed that if I drag and drop a URL a sticky note is created. This is nice but could be done better. For example with a context menu appearing on drag and drop but in any case with a drag and save on left click drag and drop.

For example:
Left click + drag and drop of an image=save
Left click + drag and drop of a link=shortcut file
Left click + drag and drop of text=sticky note
Right click or super button + drag and drop=context menu for choosing an action
