Description skrachen 2023-08-07 14:04:42 UTC
SUMMARY
I moved from country A to country B and noticed the Night Color filter started at wrong times, during the day. The switching times were set to "sunset and sunrise at current location". In the System Settings page for Night Color, the location is correct (country B), but in `~/.config/kwinrc` they are still set to country A.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set night color switching times to "sunset and sunrise at current location"
2. Move to somewhere else

OBSERVED RESULT
- System Settings > Display and Monitor > Night Color: this page shows the new location correctly
- ~/.config/kwinrc still contains the old location
- Night Color is still triggered at the sunset and sunrise times of the first location

OTHER INFO
I did not use a VPN (that could give wrong results with Mozilla Location Service), and the location shown in System Settings is correct anyway.

Can reproduce, the location doesn't auto-update when you physically move. E.g. when traveling by plane. Quite noticeable there.
