SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Panasonic tv 42inch connected via hdmi Screen too much overscan. Graphic Intel I5 3200 5th gen on board. Racognizd as panasonic generic, but no chance to reduce area visible, so many of commands are on screen borders or inaccessible at all. No way to solve via tv menu. EXPECTED RESULT A switch as optimize for tv, as for the Ati 5450 if used instead of Intel graphic. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Overscan is configurable on the Display and Monitor page in the Plasma Wayland session. If your TV doesn't have an option to fix this internally, using the Wayland session and playing with that option in System Settings is your only option, I'm afraid.
Thanks for your reply, in first. The most incredible thing is that options to “solve” the problem are only offered only for nvidia or ati/radeon hardware, let the user alone if is used the internal, and obviously FREE graphic offered by cpu. One of the few (but enormous) thing that have win over linux . At this moment, if i want to use pc, i must use my old os… May be in future my panel die… so i will be very happy to return to this os, for most things optimal over win. See you again!
