Hello, I use Cryptomator but I can't open images in the Cryptomator folder. When i double-click on an image Gwenview seems to crash If i run from the terminal "gwenview /path/ho/image.jpg" it opens so it seems a kind of bug related to dolphin+gwenview. This crash happens only with gwenview (the other file type works fine (pdf, text)) and I can open the same images with Okular/Firefox without any issue. Please let me know if I can use the terminal to reproduce how dolphin "talks" to gwenview and give you some useful informations. I tried running gwenview on the terminal, but it works so it seems strictly related on how dolphin "asks" to open the image to gwenview STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the Cryptomator folder 2. Double click on an image while Gwenview is the default image program OBSERVED RESULT The gwenview icon appears near the mouse cursor, then it closes. EXPECTED RESULT The image should be opened on gwenview Operating System: Kubuntu 23.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.7 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0 Qt Version: 5.15.8 Kernel Version: 6.2.0-26-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11
Quick update: 1) I tried to run Dolphin in a terminal window to see the logs. But it works fine from there... This problem happens only in the "standard" dolphin opened from the Plasma session, not when launching Dolphin from a terminal. 2) I tried to read the journalctl log, but it only reports is the following (I tried to open 3 images): ago 26 11:51:45 enrico-kubuntu systemd[2649]: Started app-org.kde.gwenview-c21bd85f544247ae8f4632280fa5a7d0.scope - Gwenview - Visore di immagini di KDE. ago 26 11:51:51 enrico-kubuntu systemd[2649]: Started app-org.kde.gwenview-abc3691e1fea41d2b3da326cac7559c7.scope - Gwenview - Visore di immagini di KDE. ago 26 11:51:56 enrico-kubuntu systemd[2649]: Started app-org.kde.gwenview-280e78aef2384fddadb6ac1a7fc60ed4.scope - Gwenview - Visore di immagini di KDE. but nothing happens
Same issue for me. I run Criptomator as AppImage. The problem happens on - kubuntu 20.04 - kubuntu 22.04 Not 100% sure, but maybe kubuntu 18.04 wasn't affected. Steps to reproduce: - unlock Cryptomator vault - go on Cryptomator mounted dir with Dolphin - try to open from Dolphin an image or a PDF file, gwenview and okular won't open - if I open same files from a terminal `xdg-open /path/to/mounted/cryptomator/dir/doc.pdf`, gwenview and okular work fine
Hello, just another update: I'm now having the same problem on Kubuntu 23.10 Mantic (beta) on any folder. I'm not sure if it's exactly the same problem, but the behaviour is exactly the same. I found some errors on journalctl, hoping they can help: set 23 11:01:09 enrico-kubuntu kwin_x11[3035]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 7411, resource id: 77594759, major code: 18 (ChangeProperty), minor code: 0 set 23 11:01:09 enrico-kubuntu systemd[2702]: Started app-org.kde.kate-53673642ae824614899a12754fab1f92.scope - Kate - Editor di testi avanzato. set 23 11:01:09 enrico-kubuntu kwin_x11[3035]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 7775, resource id: 16856062, major code: 3 (GetWindowAttributes), minor code: 0 set 23 11:01:09 enrico-kubuntu kwin_x11[3035]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 9 (BadDrawable), sequence: 7776, resource id: 16856062, major code: 14 (GetGeometry), minor code: 0 set 23 11:01:09 enrico-kubuntu plasmashell[3137]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 42627, resource id: 92274700, major code: 18 (ChangeProperty), minor code: 0 set 23 11:01:09 enrico-kubuntu kwin_x11[3035]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 7994, resource id: 92274700, major code: 15 (QueryTree), minor code: 0 set 23 11:01:09 enrico-kubuntu kwin_x11[3035]: qt.qpa.xcb: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence: 8028, resource id: 77594760, major code: 18 (ChangeProperty), minor code: 0 Operating System: Kubuntu 23.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.8 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.110.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 6.5.0-5-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11
P.S. this now happens also on Kate, not only Gwenview. This is why I've posted a Kate log above
This problem is fixed in Plasma 6. I close this bug report
