According to https://www.bivouak.fr/dolphin-at-akademy-2023/ , .bak files are associated with the mime type application/x-trash. While I think naming the mime type "trash" is not a good fit, I think one way or another, the icon should reflect that the file is a backup and not use the recycling icon. But since https://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/media-types.xhtml doesn't mention an application/x-trash mime type either, maybe it might sense to add an icon for application/x-backup. A Google search does show a few results for "application/x-backup". A noun project search for "backup" shows quite a few results showing a clock with a counter-clockwise arrow along its circumference. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Dolphin 2. Create example.bak file OBSERVED RESULT An icon that suggests the file belongs in the trash EXPECTED RESULT An icon that suggests that the file is a potentially important backup SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20230803 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.7 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 6.4.6-1-default (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
