OBSERVED RESULT Currently, https://invent.kde.org appears to use Gravatar to acquire external synchronized avatars. EXPECTED RESULT https://invent.kde.org should use Libravatar instead of Gravatar, because (at least) due to what https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/793 states > According to gravatar's privacy policy the data they collect with their service can be used for advertisement. Also the advised caching period with 300 seconds is quite short. All that in combination with the closed source backend makes it probably not the first choice for a free software project. Especially since we have libravatar around, which can be used as a drop in replacement (basically no development cost), does not collect user data and has no advertisement interests according to their privacy policy. Regarding the statament that the replacement is drop-in, https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/administration/libravatar.html provides the relevant information. I agree with that assessment. Seems reasonable enough to me.
Not even sure where you are see Gravatar avatars, but I have made this change.
