(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kde Version: KDE 3.0.3 Severity: wishlist Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified Why not add the possibility to use (and define new) digraph? If you don't know what is it: http://vimdoc.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/vim2html2.pl?page=digraph.txt It's a simple method to extend the keyboard possibilities (think several latin languages or unicode mathematical symbols sothat they can be use in a simple mail with kmail...). Thanks for you very good work on the linux desktop:) (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
The link from the original report no longer points to a document. Unless the reporter can explain what he means by "digraph", perhaps this bug report should be closed.
Here you go: http://www.vim.org/htmldoc/digraph.html It is a method to type special characters used in vim.
Ah... in that case, I suggest that KDE is not the right place to implement this feature. It's something for the X server. In fact, X.org already supports this sort of thing via xkb and dead keys.
Yep.
