I can also reproduce this on version 23.04.3 in Wayland. I don't think "QObject::connect: No such signal KMouseToolTray::quitSelected()" has anything to do with this bug as it also appears on X11 and it works fine.
A banner should state this in the application (like TeamViewer does), or its package should depend upon an X11 library (XOrg, etcetera). I recently wasted quite some time wondering why this didn't work on F42's KDE Edition, and this ticket required some effort to locate. It doesn't provide a brilliant example of KDE's accessibility focus.

I also face the same issue, I cannot get this app to work. I really need these types of apps since I suffer from RSI. I even tried to make one myself, but without success, due to the way Wayland's security features are setup. Additionally I tried changing the Legacy X11 App Support settings, but it didn't help.
