since a few versions (a month in time probably) the remote volume control from outside the media-player/volume remote control screen is not working anymore. Where it controlled the remote volume via some streaming volume control from anywhere on the mobile phones UI. Most importantly the phone does not ring anymore when i press the "ring my phone" button on a computer. This is because it not does not use its own volume setting (full volume) anymore, now instead uses the phones ringtone volume. Which in my case is set to vibrate.. even so, the "find my phone" functionality does not vibrate it. It would be more useful if it is the way it was. just Ring, irregardless of volume settings. Otherwise one could add an option for a custom volume, but not completely overturn the previous functionality. Thx
I can confirm that changing the volume doesn't work outside of the media player screen. Ring my phone seems to work fine for me, at least on Android 13.
Can confirm this issue of volume control not working outside the Multimedia control plugin. This for me on Android 11 this stopped working in version 1.25. Is this change? (Intentional, but bug description only mentions Windows.) https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-android/-/commit/2839793e9dbb2e55c33e9734d7977e167d8760e7 Ever since I have simply resorted to downgrading to version 1.24.5 instead where it still works at least on Android 11. (You can get it from F-Droid by enabling F-Droid Archive repo.)
