SUMMARY For about a week now, Choqok no longer loads any Twitter timelines. (Realising this may be due to the various shenanigans that have been going on with the Twitter service.) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start Choqok 2. Click the Update Timelines button. OBSERVED RESULT No new posts for any Twitter account loaded. Last post within Choqok is from five days ago. EXPECTED RESULT Expect recent Twitter posts to be loaded and displayed. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10
I've the same issue and figured out that there is a problem with the API "You currently have access to a subset of Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints (e.g. media post, oauth) only." That is the message I get when I try to post a tweet. The client isn't also not fetching the timeline.... Older tweets are also not fetched
Update: My hunch was right, it's a problem with the API Here the Error message from the client: You currently have access to a subset of Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints (e.g. media post, oauth) only. If you need access to this endpoint, you may need a different access level
I confirm the same issue on this installation. Operating System: openSUSE Leap 15.4 Name : choqok Version : 1.7.0-lp154.47.38 Arch : x86_64 Source package : choqok-1.7.0-lp154.47.38.src
org.kde.choqok.twitterapi: Error: "You currently have access to a subset of Twitter API v2 endpoints and limited v1.1 endpoints (e.g. media post, oauth) only. If you need access to this endpoint, you may need a different access level. You can learn more here: https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/product"
Choqok is unfortunately no longer maintained. If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here: https://invent.kde.org/network/choqok You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived. Sorry for the inconveniences.
