display resolution error in X11 session

Running Debian sid/unstable booting kernel 6.3.0-2 display settings thinks that I am using Wayland, when actually in X11. If I reboot using kernel 6.3.0-1 then display settings correctly identifies that I am in X11.

display resolution working correctly

Display resolution selection working correctly with kernel 6.3.0-1 in X11 session.
Comment 2 PQCraft 2023-07-11 07:18:33 UTC
Can confirm this on plasma 5.27.6 and kernel 6.4.2-1
Comment 3 jes 2023-07-24 18:19:54 UTC
Upgrading debian kernel to 6.4.4-1 resolved issue.

$ uname -a
Linux jsola1 6.4.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.4.4-1 (2023-07-23) x86_64 GNU/Linux

No idea what changes were made between debian kernel 6.3.0-2 to 6.4.0-1, but glad the bug was fixed.
