SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Install neon-testing-20230627-0252.iso 2. Reboot and sign in 3. Update system, (pkcon refresh, sudo pkcon update) OBSERVED RESULT sudo pkcon update crashes during execution after "Getting updates, Finished, Testing changes, Finished" with the following message: Fatal error: The following packages have unmet dependencies: qml-module-org-kde-purpose: Depends: libkf5purpose-bin (= 5.107.0+p22.04+tunstable+git20230703.0050-0) but it is not going to be installed EXPECTED RESULT Expected update to complete without issue, (was actually testing whether the update issue that's rendered neon unstable unusable yesterday - see other bug I filed this morning - also affects neon testing, but this is a different issue that I've not seen with neon unstable). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The neon unstable bug that I mentioned below is 471906
This needs libaccounts-qt to build successfully in unstable (which now pushes to both unstable and stable/testing)
I've been having this like for a week now. Updating via "pkcon" doesn't work, but "apt full-upgrade" does, however, these pkgs are held thus not updated: libkf5purpose-bin libkf5purpose5 qml-module-org-kde-purpose. I tried installing them, but apt complains about "libaccounts-qt not going to be installed" like Jonathan Riddell's comment suggests.
By the way, forgot to mention I use KDE Neon Testing: Operating System: KDE neon Testing Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 6.1.34-060134-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11
