STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add the widget  to panel
2. Enable text only mode
3. Enable "Group sensors based on the value of the total sensors"
4. Add CPU temperature as a total sensors

This was fixed for Plasma 6.2.0, and then the display was improved for 6.3.0.

Incredibly long sensor name

By improved, do you mean it no longer shows an incredibly long sensor name (I'm on 6.2.3)? As I was going to make a report for it...

You can edit the text on the "Sensor Details" page. Click the pencil icon by the token whose text you want to edit.
