SUMMARY I have Proton Bridge and Telegram running in background with both windows closed. Both installed from official prebuilt binaries. If I get notification in Telegram and click on it, Telegram window opens AND proton bridge opens up for some reason too. As you might expect, that's pretty annoying. I don't know if that is the issue with proton bridge or telegram though but since it happens when I use KDE notifications, that seems like most obvious culprit. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch Telegram and Proton Bridge 2. Get notification 3. Click on it OBSERVED RESULT Proton Bridge opens up EXPECTED RESULT Only Telegram window should be opened SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.6 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.107.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 6.1.35-1-lts (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This does not happen with other apps that I use and I didn't have this up until recently. Maybe a week or a bit more.
Are you using kdeconnect?
Yes I do
If you have also enabled the notification plugin, try to apply https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde/-/commit/4523ba588276bc5d2bc7f0e11cf39743efeca263 to kdeconnect.
No, both send and receive plugins are disabled
How can I debug this further? There are no errors in either of apps and in journalctl so I can't even refer to that.
If you temporarily disable KDE connect for debugging purposes, does the problem stop?
Can't reproduce now. I upgraded KDE components since then though. I am closing this and reopen if I encounter it again. Thanks for the notice.
