STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. add any System Monitor widget to desktop
2.

OBSERVED RESULT
no sensor works. Please see the attached screenshot.

EXPECTED RESULT
all sensors work

Can confirm, tested "Individual Core Usage" and "Network Speed" applet, neither showed information.
