SUMMARY I did a fresh install of KDE Neon on my laptop using the following ISO neon-user-20230608-0713.iso When I enabled the the Night Color option, the Blue light filter stays on, even in the middle of the afternoon. I even restarted the computer, and the blue light filter is still on. The blue light filter is enabled in the middle of the night, which is the expected behaviour STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Go to Settings -> Personalization -> Regional Settings -> Date & Time. Click the Time Zone tab 2. Change the following, Area: Toronto. 3. Click the Apply button 4. Go to Settings -> Hardware -> Display and Monitor -> Night Color 5. Change the following, Switching times: Sunset and sunrise at current location 6. Click the Apply button 7. Wait or turn on the computer in the morning or afternoon OBSERVED RESULT Blue light filter is turned on no matter what time of the day it is EXPECTED RESULT Blue light filter needs to be turned off between sunrise and sunset SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.27 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.107.0 Qt Version: 5.15.10 Kernel Version: 5.19.0-45-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. Created attachment 159780 [details] Night Color Settings Notice the time on the bottom right. It's displaying a time in the middle of the afternoon. The latitude and longitude is correct for Toronto
I just noticed today that Night Light was turned off in the morning. However, it got turned back on at around 14:50. I'm thinking the locale is being mixed up with another location besides Toronto (which is what is being set, see the image above)
