SUMMARY

I have a second monitor above my Laptop main display and the panel is at the top middle of the laptop display. If I press any item on the panel it expands to the second monitor and not downwards as it would be without the second monitor attached.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Place the panel on the top of the main display
2. attach a second monitor
3. press items on the panel

OBSERVED RESULT

I click on a button in one display and the results show an the other display.

EXPECTED RESULT

I click on a button in one display and the results show up on the same display.

Hmm, seems similar to Bug 473098, but not exactly the same.

I can't reproduce this at all in currently git master, soon to become Plasma 6.2. Can you reproduce it at all in Plasma 6.1.4 or later? Thanks!
