SUMMARY

After Elisa has indexed for more than an hour, I have accidentally clicked on "re-index" everything, with the result, that the whole time and energy was wasted. A warning dialog would be very convenient!

Re-indexing takes about 10 seconds for me. Taking an hour seems like a problem that we should fix directly.

How many songs are in your music collection, and what kind of disks are they located on?

Elisa indexes roughly 1000 songs per second of a pretty large collection, which are located on an HDD drive.
10 seconds is really short, however in case it takes a couple of minutes or more, I'd argue asking for confirmation makes sense.

I mean it'd not be a dialog, which interrupts your workflow as you don't click it often and on the other hand if you just clicked on the wrong button, you are saved from any annoyance.

Sorry, the 1000 songs / second were for the nvme and for smaller files. For the HDD the rate is more like 50 songs per second.

I've stopped using Elisa and since no one else has reported to have this issue, let's close it!
