Description David Hart 2023-06-15 18:24:30 UTC
SUMMARY

Some mouse movement causes all of my windows to tile losing focus on the active window. This creates innumerable problems because, whatever the gesture is (and I am not sure) it is AMBIGUOUS and interferes with productivity. There doesn't seem to be a system setting to control the effect. This is a serious problem. It compromises productivity!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Unknown. The issue does not seem to be documented. It MIGHT be a wipe, right to left but it seems dependent upon other things.

OBSERVED RESULT

Windows tile

This effect should be option and controllable.

We have neither mouse gestures nor automatic tiling. Most likely a KWin script or something that you installed is doing this

Can you check your 3rd-party installed scripts/effects?

There is only one bit of software on my laptop that is out of distribution - a proprietary Wi-Fi device driver. Everything else is via Fedora. I suppose that I should file a report downstream.
