SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Press Meta key to call up menu krunner search, (on KDE Neon Unstable iso, which shows Firefox as installed, with icons in the lower panel and in the menu itself) 2. Start typing "firefox" (happens everytime) 3. OBSERVED RESULT Two other programs / icons start to load as "firefox" is typed, but Firefox itself isn't one of them EXPECTED RESULT Expected the Firefox icon to show up so that I could just press Enter and launch the application, (as I would on Gnome - i.e. on Gnome (44) to start Firefox, I hit Meta, type "fir" (which is usually enough) and press Enter to open a new Firefox window, (with fmuellner's Launch new instance extension). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon Unstable iso (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Note: I don't believe I was prompted for X11 vs Wayland, (or, if I was supposed to be, I didn't see where that choice was) so just using whatever the default settings on the iso are.
Note 2: As in the other two bugs I reported, was booting into the KDE Neon (Unstable) Developers' Edition iso via a Ventoy stick, in case that matters.
Thank you for your bug report! However this bug report was created/provided previous to 01/01/2023 and also has not received any updates since before 01/01/2025. Unfortunately KDE neon no longer provides updates for anything older than noble 24.04 based edition's. Please upgrade to KDE neon noble and if you can reproduce the issue after upgrading to an active version, feel free to re-open this bug report. Thanks for understanding!
