Created attachment 159605 [details] Notice that none of the strokes reflect pressure sensitivity differences being present. SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use a Bamboo Ink pen (using MPP protocol) by pairing it with the Surface Laptop Studio. 2. Test with MS Whiteboard (notice that Pressure sensitivity works when using any selected pen) 3. Open Krita, create a new canvas. 4. Select any pen style that makes use of pressure sensitivity (a Marker for example). 5. Draw on the canvas with the lightest touch possible, then increase the pressure and you will notice that there is no difference in the FULLNESS of what's drawn on the Screen. 6. I checked settings to use BOTH WinTab and Windows 8+ configurations. Neither of which results in any pressure sensitivity expectations being present. OBSERVED RESULT No pressure sensitivity being present. EXPECTED RESULT Pressure sensitivity being present. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 11 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Test requires a Wacom Bamboo Ink Stylus/Pen
I'm afraid we simply don't have access to the hardware. Additionally, we don't have any code in Krita that interfaces with pens or tablets; all that happens in the driver, the OS and in Qt, so we probably won't be able to implement support for this stylus. If in the tablet tester part of the tablet config dialog only mouse events are shown, then it is certain that this issue is somewhere on one of those components. Does the Surface Studio come with a stylus, and does that work?
