"Same video starts over from the beginning" is it playing or is it paused? If it's paused then that's intended (only if it's the last or only item in the playlist).

If it's playing.. I can load the app, click on the time bar to a position near the end and let it play to the end and then it'll loop back on its own and start over from the beginning, never having been paused once. It does it with youtube as well. No playlists were created. If there is no playlist then I think auto-repeat should never happen unless there is a selectable menu item for actions to take when a video ends.
Did you turn off the repeat playlist setting?
Looking in the configure, I see "Repeat" has a installation default setting of checked. Unchecking it stops the repeat. At the end of the video it displays the frame visible from the beginning of the video instead of the last frame, but doesn't otherwise continue playing. I have no idea where in the user interface one would work with playlists. The file portal doesn't allow selecting multiple files at once and there doesn't seem to be any menu option for creating playlists. The only thing I can see is that one can select multiple files in dolphin, but only there, but after playback is started there is no visible indication that a playlist exists. I think repeat should not be a default setting for a new profile if every media file opened is considered a playlist.
Now I have found the playlist due to the dolphin multi-select, and there is a playlist bug. Time for a new report.
