Description tomashnyk 2023-06-05 13:46:09 UTC
Use case:

We are on a road, two people sharing one computer, having to users on it. We get to a new accomodation several times a week, connecting to new wifi. Each user needs to enter the password manually - or one of them needs to set in the settings to share the password for both users. It would be great if the default could be set to share the passwords to all users.

It would probably also allow connecting to wifi before login as requested here: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/eiayx0/share_all_the_network_manager_connections_by/

Solution:
There is already a window for general configuration for settings (under individual networks, the icon for settings, the dialog has under General "Ask for PIN on modem detection" and "Show virtual connections".
I propose a new setting "Share password for new connections to all users".

(I would not mind making that the default, wifi passwords are ordinarily no secrets, but I undersand circumstances might vary).
